The Starlite Theatre Company was formed in September 1999. It seeks to further develop the work begun by Starlite Theatre Group in 1991 as one of the most progressive and succesful theatre company’s in the country. Each year since 1991 it has performed an original musical, but in addition has contributed toward a number of major Brighton & Hove concerts and arranged its own showcase and concert performed on a regular basis.
Starlite is divided into three sections, firstly ‘Starlite Fringe Theatre’ offering opportunities for small-scale productions, plays and Cabaret. Secondly, ‘Starlite Youth Theatre’ offering opportunities for young people under the age of eighteen and finally ‘Starlite Theatre Company’ where the whole membership can be brought together for large scale productions. Starlite opens the stage door to any young person in the community who has the desire, drive and passion to enjoy all that the world of theatre has to offer.
